Shakti Rising

Shakti RisingShakti Rising focuses on cultivating leadership among women through our Apprenticeship program as well as our Transformation through Service (volunteer program), donors and funders, and community members.  Within this, they bring the element of their values, of which, making daily social and environmental choices is essential as a consumer.

Their on-site organic garden feeds the Apprentices and community members while offering volunteer opportunities.  Both, Apprentices and volunteers become educated through composting, learning about chemical-free environments and the health benefits reaped from a self-sustaining garden. Shakti Rising is located in San Diego, CA.  More information can be found on their website at www.shaktirising.org
